B&W Film, Open & Closed in Cuenca - Wood Prints 20x30 cm / 8x12″

This is a black and white photo printed onto a plank of wood. 

The backstreets of Cuenca, Ecuador are lined with old buildings and their doors. Often highlighted with elaborate frames and awnings these doors are treasures from a earlier generation. 

Black and white film is a wonderful method of photographing the shapes and textures of these doors, and these photos look great when displayed together in a group. If you're looking for some art for the walls of your cafe, bar, or restaurant these photos will convey a sense of culture, nostalgia, and class. They will add a touch of style to any establishment. 

This is a 35mm black and white film photo that was developed by hand and then scanned at a high resolution with a Plustek OpticFilm 8100 dedicated 35mm film scanner. The scan quality is detailed enough to capture all the grain and nuance of the film and transfer it to this high quality photographic print. 

The photo was taken with a Canonet QL17. No photoshop or AI was used in post production.
