Calle Lourdes in Loja, Ecuador - Premium Semi-Gloss Paper Poster

The Famous Calle Lourdes in Loja, packed with colourful shops and signage, this is actually a challenging street to photograph. It's narrow, one side is always in shade, and cars drive through here at very high speeds. This photo though, all came together at just the right moment. I had visited the street with my camera already that morning and wasn't able to capture anything interesting. This time as I was walking down it again I spotted this elderly couple holding hands and slowly walking along in the shade. I was about to move on because they were in shadow, but then they crossed into the sun, and, there was a break in traffic! The sweet couple, the colourful stores, and the mountain scenery in the distance all make for a beautiful image of one of Loja's most iconic streets. 

Taken with a Nikon DSLR and a 300mm lens. No AI or photoshop was used in post production.
