While I've never seen a vintage Ford Mustang like this in Ecuador, I saw a couple in Lima. I saw this one a number of times as I explored the Breña neighborhood, but it was always surrounded by other cars. Days later I came back looking for it, and amazingly it was parked with nothing in front of it, perfect sunlight, just waiting for me to take the photo.
In this day and age of smartphones and selfies, a black and white film photograph of a scene like this is a rare piece of art. It will convey a sense of culture and nostalgia wherever you display it. I recommend an off white mat and a dark grey wooden frame to balance, but not, detract from the photo. The smaller sized prints work well in a series along a hallway, or a vertical stack in an entryway. No matter how you display them, they will start conversations and reflect your well-travelled lifestyle.
This is a 35mm black and white film photo that was developed by hand and then scanned at a high resolution with a Plustek OpticFilm 8100 dedicated 35mm film scanner. The scan quality is detailed enough to capture all the grain and nuances of the film and transfer it to this high quality photographic print.
The photo was taken with a Canonet QL17 and a screw-on orange filter. No photoshop or AI was used in post production.
